LG Kompressor Upright Vacuum, Bagless, Blue, LuV300B Reviews
80 of 83 people found the following review helpful Easy to use and very versatile, with a few quibbles, October 26, 2010 By This review is from: LG Kompressor Upright Vacuum, Bagless, Blue, LuV300B (Kitchen) Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program ( What's this?) OK, this is going to be somewhat complicated, because the vacuum cleaner itself is somewhat complicated. It tries to be a combination of both an upright and a canister vacuum by use of a removable "wand," which forms the backbone of the vacuum.
UPRIGHT MODE:
When you use it as an upright, it works pretty darn well. It removed an amazing amount of grit and other debris from my carpet that my last vacuum completely failed to remove. Now, the unit does have a safety feature, wherein the spinning brushes stop spinning if the top is too upright, and that is a little too sensitive for me. That is to say, sometimes I pull the unit back towards my foot, only to have it stop spinning. Nonetheless, that is a minor complaint - in general the vacuum worked wonders.
CANISTER MODE:
When you remove the "wand" you have an already attached (after your initial assembly) but removable pet hair turbine, which looks like a miniature upright, and you can extend the wand to... Read more
32 of 35 people found the following review helpful Amazing bagless vacuum that lives up to the hype, November 7, 2010 This review is from: LG Kompressor Upright Vacuum, Bagless, Blue, LuV300B (Kitchen) Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program ( What's this?) UPDATE: I've now had the vacuum for about seven months and wanted to check in with an update about a potential problem buyers should be aware of. A week ago the agitator belt began making a loud whining noise and gave off an awful stench of burning rubber, and then promptly snapped in half. The belt, of course, is not covered by the warranty as it's a "consumable part" that wears out over time. A replacement belt through LG is only $11, but then the shipping is another $11 on top of that. While I still love this vacuum, I'm less than thrilled to be shelling out more than $20 for a part that may or may not break again in another six months and am left without a working vacuum in the interim.
After watching the promotional video for the LG Kompressor bagless vacuum, you'd think it could cure world hunger and solve all of society's problems while doing your taxes for you. While the promotion is a little over the top, this is actually a really impressive vacuum. It does... Read more
22 of 23 people found the following review helpful Most Versatile Vacuum I've Ever Used, January 16, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: LG Kompressor Upright Vacuum, Bagless, Blue, LuV300B (Kitchen) After our 6 year old Kenmore Progressive (was a Consumer Reports top rate model) died, I went on the search for what next that could deal with pet hair and a house full of kids. I was a little concerned about going from the veteran Kenmore to newcomer LG but I am a believer now. Here's why...
1) It was amazing and disgusting all at once to see what this thing got out of the last room we had used our Kenmore in just one week earlier. Not just the very visible pet hair I expected but an amazing amount of fine dirt was in the bin.
2) It is quiet by comparison to the old Kenmore Progressive, which itself was radically quieter than our prior short lived Hoover Wind Tunnel, which I assumed was named for it's noise level.
3) This is the easiest to use vacuum we have ever owned, period. The tool design is stellar and my wife and I had no issues pulling the wand with power head in and out. Go from carpet to couch to corners to stairs almost without... Read more
